Introduction


This is a rounded, fluffy, soft looking species of nudibranch with long pointed papillae on its back that ranges in colour from white to purple-brown to grey, sometimes black (Encyclopedia of Life 2011). It reaches lengths of 3 cm (sometimes up to 7 cm) (Encyclopedia of Life 2011). Gills are large and fluffy (Picton and Morrow 2010). Globally found in the British Isles and from northeastern America to the Mediterranean (Picton and Morrow 2010). Feeds on bryozoans (Picton and Morrow 2010).
